I walked away
in the night under stars
I broke away
from the shadows of the unknown
And it makes me sad
when I face the darkness
I drift away
in the most visceral way

Once upon a time
In a land far away
There lived a race
of the most peculiar kind
Now there no trace
of the greatness and glory
I stood in awe at the ruins left behind

So I journey south
to the realms of new frontiers
Stumbled up with an ice wall
The size of mount Rainier
They said don’t trust a map
If it has flatten regions
Just stick to the narrative
And swear in the name of the lord

I closed my ears
and gave in to the spirit of man
broke away to distance
in the night under stars
I sailed again
Thru the shadows of the unknown
So far away
In search for the truth

I woke again
On my bed tired and worn out
My senses out
My beliefs all-time low
And it makes me cry
when I face the grand delusion
I drift away
in the most ephemeral way
